ModernApp Labs
Meet the Architect

Built by an architect,
for Windows users.

I'm Eduardo Gutierrez, the solo developer and founder behind ModernApp Labs. Armed with a BS/MA in Computer Science, my goal is simple: to prove that high-performance, native Windows applications can have bespoke, boundary-pushing designs.

The Full-Lifecycle Advantage

ModernApp Labs isn't an assembly line. I handle the entire product lifecycle from start to finish. I conceptualize the UX/UI, architect the deep WinUI 3 and C# backend, execute complex Win2D rendering, handle Microsoft Store certification, and produce all commercial marketing assets.

This T-shaped approach allows for unprecedented agility. It means no detail is lost in translation between a designer and an engineer. The result is software that feels cohesive, fast, and entirely custom.

My Philosophy

Advancing the Windows Ecosystem

Building premium native experiences that showcase the true power, elegance, and performance of WinUI 3.

01

Fluent, Elevated

A deep appreciation for the Fluent Design System, combined with the technical mastery to extend WinUI 3 controls into breathtaking, highly custom interfaces.

02

Native Performance

Fully committed to the Windows App SDK. Writing optimized C# and leveraging raw Win2D rendering to build applications that feel instantly responsive.

03

End-to-End Ownership

From pixel-perfect UX architecture to robust backend logic and seamless MSIX Store deployment, I handle the complete engineering lifecycle.

04

Ecosystem Champion

Passionate about the future of Windows development, actively contributing to the ecosystem, and proving what native desktop applications can achieve.
